The Great Year Of Greenskins, Weekly Update-Week 40

So last week I talked about how I chose weapons and hands for the kitbashes. Today we are going to talk about the heads. Avatars of War, Titanforge, Beholder Minatures and Battle Yak’s Cankergits are where most of the heads came from.

Each of the heads is going to be a base head from one the several makers, then edited or combined. What I am looking for is a good hood and shape. The ears, nose, eyes and even mouth can all be edited.

There are a lot of different faces, but most are either a) Avatars of War b) a combination of Avatars of War and the base head, c) The Titanforge scarf with the other features smoothed down, or d) The base head smoothed down. The reason I do the smoothing down is to then replace the nose or eyes with VDM brush versions.

The base heads are then given 1 or 2 rows of spikes, or bones, or pets peeking out, or mushrooms. This gives more options than I need (unless I plan on 500+ models)

Our Greenskin STL of the week is Dungeon Dog’s Goblin heads. These were listed as being pendants, so they might need work to add to models (most likely needing necks) and cutting off the pendant stem, but I like the variety.
