The Great Year Of Greenskins, Weekly Update-Week 36

I had mentioned that besides more spider riding gobbos, I wanted to add some spacers. I love the idea of spacers, little mini scenes that can be placed in the middle of a unit, and some games embrace them more than others. Avatars of War includes victims in their Goblin Spider Rider kit, so I decided that I would modify them to reflect the different races. I have the basic adjustments done (see below), mostly in changing the head and body dimensions to hint at what is under the webbing.

I then used a version of the previous masking and inflate trick to give a cavern/fungus bed/spider nest look to the base.

Here is the almost finished spacer, with a good combination of victim, broken or discarded parts of his gear, spiderlings and eggs, and lots of fungus, rocks, and snotlings to reflect that the night goblins have “tamed” the spiders (as long as they keep feeding them)

Our Greenskin STL of the week is Tytan Troll Miniature’s Goblin Raider Pack. These aren’t night gobbos, but would make for great regular gobbos, and each one has a ton of character and could be modified with a little work to double or triple the variations.
