The Great Year Of Greenskins, Weekly Update-Week 30

Decided to start working on another night gobbo themed unit that isn’t technically nigh gobbos (like the spider riders). This time, it’s a wolf rider equivalent. Instead of being on wolves, they will be mounted on captured skaven wolfrats. Because they are using capture skaven creations, the gobbos are very careful to use them only against non skaven enemies, or to have a knife handy to put them down if they go berserk. I am using Titanforge Giant Rats as the basic (armored versions).

The areas I wanted to change, were the tail, head (to give more variety, I have 3 original variants to work with), and add some more differences to the saddle gear.

The tail and head were shaved down and replaced with some free stl pieces, then resculpted some.

I was able to add in some chains and reside and bend using a combo of the pose, grab, and elastic deform tools to eventually wrap around the saddle pommel. I added a different saddle bag on the left side, and may add more items as well (hands, heads, other trophies), once the rider is fitted.

So early in process, but think these are going to look good and fit in my Karak Eight Peaks gobbo army theme.

In line with these, our Greenskin STL of the week is Warp Miniatures Mythic Goblin Wolf Rider Kit. I like the overall look of these, and the multipart nature locks it in for me.
