The Great Year Of Greenskins, Weekly Update-Week 22

Last week we have a peek at the upcoming Bolt Throwas, so today we are going to look at preliminary work on the crew and accessories for those.

Avatars of War already has this awesome guy, so I thought, what can we do with him?

The answer was to give him a night gobbo hood, covered sleeves, and a lower robe.

The bolt was just adding feathers to the end of his current big spear. I also decided to make some other bolt variants (some hand held, some loose):

I’m mostly working on loaders right now, but plan to add models pulling the lanyard/trigger on the warmachine, and spotters/aimers. I might also do a proxy for the Orc Bullys (but will probably just be a slightly more powerful night gobbo)

Here is the big, wide shot of work in progress. Once I get the basics done, they will need accessories, trinkets and head moon sigils.

This week I am going to go with The Beholder Miniature’s Black Horde Goblin’s Mushroom Eaters. I have been a fan of this creators work for a while (you will often see hoods, heads or robes from them in the kitbashes), but this kit in particular has great potential for shaman kitbashes. I will be picking it up soon, once I start my other shaman work. Check them out (and all their other goblins)
