Continuing my trend of using the Weekly Updates to give you a taste of other items in progress (I understand people wanting to see more than goblin infantry every day), I’ve decided to show some early work I am doing kitbashing my giant. I plan to do a bonegrinder as well, but this is the testbed for what I will need later.
First up, the source materials, one from Txila (I love their ogres), and the other from Highland Miniatures. my plan it to merge elements from both, and then add additional details and practice creating more original items.
Here is where I am as of this moment, using the Txila club, hands, and feet, and the Highland upper and lower torsos. Gobbo for scale.
Here is a shot of the back, showing off the rope harness and pelts I am pretty proud of. The pelts were a reshaped cube, given more detail and then I went to town with fur VDM brushes.
On the front, I want to add a mask and bear, and am considering 1 or 2 gobbos on his back or shoulders providing “guidance”
Like any of these sneak peaks, I will add more progress or the final work when done.
